Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1.

How long will it take to get my results?

A negative result will be ready in 24-48 hours after you go for your collection. If your test is positive it usually takes 48-96 hours for the lab to complete the testing

  • 2.

What lab are you using and are they certified?

Yes. We are using Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp for all testing. Both of these labs are certified by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). All testing is also confirmed by Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), which is the gold standard for drug screen confirmations.

  • 3.

Can you send the results directly to my probation officer or the courts?

Yes. When you checkout, you can list an additional email address for result reporting.

  • 4.

Which drug test should I pick?

The most popular drug test is the 5-Panel. Tests that screen for more drugs get into prescription medications. We can also offer special testing for healthcare professionals and athletes.

  • 5.

    Is this testing really confidential?

Yes. We only report the results to you or who you designate. No one else.

  • 6.

What happens if I test positive for a drug?

If your drug screen initially screens positive, it will automatically go into confirmation testing. If the result is still positive, you will be contacted by a licensed physician, called a Medical Review Officer (MRO), to discuss your result before the official report is verified.

  • 7.

Can a drug test be a false positive?

Legal medications can trigger positive results, such as over-the-counter sinus and cold medications that contain pseudoephedrine, which can cause a false positive result for methamphetamine. Confirmatory testing after a positive result greatly lessens the chance of a false positive. All tests on this site include this confirmation step.

  • 8.

Can I “beat” the drug test?

Urine adulteration, such as tampering with a urine sample, using synthetic urine, or using someone else’s urine, is prevented as much as possible in testing facilities. Lab technicians are well trained to detect any attempts at tampering, and if there is tampering, the test will be declared invalid and you will have to retake it. Also, people tend to believe that they can flush their system with water or over-the-counter solutions that claim to remove drugs from their system. However, there is no science to back up most of those methods. Generally, if someone has taken drugs, they cannot “beat” the test.

  • 9.

What does a Dilute test mean?

A dilute specimen was still tested by the laboratory and is a valid negative or positive. All this means is that there was excess water in the specimen.
